ABOUT

ALICE
FRAMPTON

Alice lives on an arable farm in Somerset with her husband Colin, they welcomed baby Ben in 2022 who joins the family of 2 horses, 2 dogs, a hundred or so sheep!

Alice has always had a passion for animals, whilst horses did not come along easily she was dedicated to pursuing an equine career from the age of 16. Alice spent many happy and informative years at Hartpury University where she was able to observe many different equine therapies, this lead her to choose a specialist animal-based career path into veterinary physiotherapy ultimately completing her MSc. Veterinary Physiotherapy through Harper Adams University.

Alongside her studies Alice spent a lot of time working on different private and professional yards gaining a large amount of industry experience from top level eventing and show jumping, to pleasure driving and endurance, giving her a varied and firm grounding in the equine industry. She also gained her BHSAI instructors qualification and spent several years coaching which she still enjoys when the opportunity arises.

As a horse owner herself Alice understands only to well the emotional roller-coaster that can come with the joy of horses, accrediting her first horse Bliss as the legacy who has helped many horses whilst her current mare Daisy has also presented the Vet with a fair few challenges! Alice enjoyed several years producing Daisy to Novice level eventing before taking a slightly slower paced life in the Dressage arena, having ridden to a reasonable herself level Alice is able to understand those small niggles that may only be felt in higher level movements and help clients utilise physiotherapy to fine tune their ridden performance.

In 2023 Alice welcomed fellow Veterinary Physiotherapist Hannah Topping to the team to help meet the current demands for high quality equine physiotherapy in the local area. Hannah shares Alice's ethos for a thorough and gentle approach to equine physiotherapy and they have spent some very informative training days together discussing all things equine physio! Hannah's arrival means the practice is again able to accept new client requests for the first time in over a year.
